Factory Outlet paddles are deemed to be 'slight' cosmetic seconds. Minor blemishes that sometimes occur due to machine error or human error. Very few blades have to be passed as seconds, but, the ones that do are virtually first class. In fact, an untrained eye cannot always see what the blemish is. Furthermore, after a few uses, some become invisible. There is absolute zero effect on strength, durability, or performance of the blades.

Bombora
Bombora's surface area is 670cm², and was initially designed based on one of our Whitewater Sports paddles. Using this combination, we have produced a very versatile Sea blade, which encourages you to blend strokes. The Bombora gives a smooth feel through each stroke and has a rock solid, but not exhausting catch. With a medium-sized surface area, Bombora provides firm support for novice paddlers. Shorter blades, compared to low angle paddles, offer quick and easy exit, perfect for rolling in Surf and Rock Gardens. Although this paddle has a 'sure' feel to it, it is not tiring for long distance kayaking to seasoned Sea Paddlers. This paddle has been used to circumnavigate Australia! Bombora will take you to that distant offshore play spot and give you the range of strokes to ride the waves when you get there.

Summary: The paddle with a bite. With the perfect catch, this is the go-to paddle for the more seasoned Sea paddler, whether it be distance or serious play in coastal waters. Raw beginners too will feel the secure support the Bombora offers, increasing the speed of their skill level.

Blade Construction
Our Carbon Hybrid construction style is spectacular. It is available in a Carbon Twill pattern on both sides, or Carbon Twill one side, and a Red Carbon Kevlar Twill pattern on the opposite. Very few carbon paddles can be found with coloured carbon kevlar, which makes these unique blades the most exotic on the market. They all contain Carbon in their substructure and reinforcing for strength and performance, along with layers of Fibreglass. Glass contributes by providing flex for comfort, and durability, particularly in the tips. Although carbon is strong, it is a softer material, which wears quicker than glass. All our Whitewater blades contain a layer of Kevlar in their tips, which dramatically increases durability. Not only that, the blades that have coloured kevlar become slightly more impact absorbent. With over 20yrs experience, Mitchell Blades has established the best construction lay-ups with impeccable skill.

Shafts
All our paddles are supplied in 2-piece as standard, with our Camlock connector. The Camlock allows the paddle to have multiple length and feather adjustments. Our amazing Cranks are 100% carbon, and our Straights are a composite of carbon & glass, with carbon material being the major element. Same as our blades, carbon brings immense strength to the shafts and provides whip, while glass allows for a little flex providing 'feel' to the paddle.
